Where Even Have I Been?

Like all things I try to do, I get overwhelmed and distracted and space out and completely forget what I was doing. According to the dates on my last post it has been a whole month since my last attempt at posting. So what happened?
Lots and lots of subbing in various classrooms. Finally organizing and cleaning my house. Time spent with friends. Laundry getting done and then not getting done and then getting done again.
This last Sunday I took a vacation with my hubby. We went to Saint Augustine because I had never been there before. It is so beautiful and so filled with history. We went swimming, even though this week was chilly. We went golfing. We checked future vacation ideas. We ate some tasty local foods. And did some tours our last day with family who drove up to hang out.
I have been reading so much of the bible. I have been trying to read a devotional with excerpts from C.S. Lewis, but I have been failing. I have been happily wearing shirts covered in Jesus love. I have been studying God's word and listening to podcasts and watching videos to bring my knowledge of Truth so much stronger. Even my TikTok has been crazy filled with God and His love!
Today I have been figuring out how I want to deal with going back to school. I want to attend a Christian college or university, but financially, I need to start local and transfer once I have completed some degrees. It's been so long since I have attended school, that it makes more sense to just start fresh and power through what needs to be completed. I have figured out 90% of the classes that I will take and will figure out the rest with the help of a councilor and a financial advisor. I think my best bet is to complete as much as I can, as quickly as possible, Fall, Spring, and Summer classes. This includes taking a new foreign language, Spanish, so help me communicate where I work. I am also considering taking ASL Fingerspelling. I think it could really help me with the kids and in the wide world.
While we were in Saint Augustine, there was a older gentle man and either his son or grandson ordering donuts and coffee, using a hand written note and hand gestures, trying to get the cashier to understand. If I had known more signs, then I might have been able to help and alleviate some stress from all involved.
God willing I will have a new post up on Sunday. It might be just as all over the place as this one is, but I just need to build this habit. Bear with me.
God bless!
