...especially when it is difficult.

If I had felt this calling when I was younger, it would have been easy to follow.

Lately, Abba Elohim (Father God) has been putting on my heart, through the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), that starting a mentorship program for new believers and starting with 3-5 year olds, which might one day be a school is where I need to start.

Starting a mentorship program is easy, I just mentioned the idea to my new pastor and I can tell that this word was more for me to spread and share than to accomplish all on my own.

Starting a Christian-based VPK for 3-5 year olds, both general education and ESE students, is the tricky part. Partially, because I am getting older and haven't taken care of my body, which means I have to start so I can move properly without hurting myself. Partially, because as I have moved further away from my teenage years, I like tiny humans less than I did. They're just at the right age to test everything, including my patience, and I know that to some extent, that's the point. I make lots of excuses, but I have been thrust into an ESE VPK situation at work temporarily, and it's making me realize that He isn't messing around.

So here's what I have done so far.

  1. I found a house for sale, that needs fixed up. It is 5+ bedrooms and only $249,900 and is eligible for a loan that only requires 3% down payment, which is less than $8k. I don't have that much, but I gave it up to God, that we would either be blessed with enough to put down, the ability to get the loan, and the funds to fix it up, or that someone else would do all that and we would be connected for me to help and then them to donate or rent me the space. YHWH's will be done.

  2. I entered a giveaway for a biblical curriculum.

  3. I have looked into my local Early Learning Coalition for assistance in what I need to have and do to become a provider.

  4. I have attempted to apply for FASFA to attend classes starting this summer/fall to learn the things I need to know to be a successful provider, administrator, and teacher for young minds.

  5. I have considered alternative sources of funding secondary to the state to allow for the option of Christian learning.

  6. I have looked up words to encompass everything that this will be. Yeshiva Apostle Phrontistery

yeshiva (yə-shē′və)

noun

  1. An institute of learning where students study sacred texts, primarily the Talmud.

  2. An elementary or secondary school with a curriculum that includes religion and culture as well as general education.

  3. An academy for the advanced study of Jewishtexts.

A yeshiva is a traditional Jewish educational institution focused on the study of Rabbinic literature, primarily the Talmud and halacha, while Torah and Jewish philosophy are studied in parallel. The studying is usually done through daily shiurim as well as in study pairs called chavrusas.

apostle

Noun

  1. A missionary, or leader of a religious mission, especially one in the early Christian Church (but see Apostle).

  2. A pioneer or early advocate of a particular cause, prophet of a belief.

phrontistery

  1. Same as phrontisterion.

  2. a thinking place

  3. an establishment devoted to education or study

Please keep me in your prayers as I continue to follow the calling on my life.
