What's On My Mind

Saturday - I spent 90% of the day in the Word. I looked into several different verses based on various YouTube videos that I was watching. I tested a lot information for Truth. I started watching a new channel "How to Faith a Life" and she is inspiring me so much in my faith walk.

I talked to my bestie for life last night about dreams, prophecies, spiritual warfare, our futures, going back to school, running away to join a monastery, or at least do regular spiritual retreats in a cabin in the woods. As always, we helped each other see things in a new way that we wouldn't have been able to see otherwise.

Sunday - I spent 90% of the day investigating the construction of Regency Dresses. I looked into fabric types, possibly modern modifications, undergarments, hair styles, head coverings, and even shoes. I am super excited to be getting ready to create my very own, hopefully, wardrobe collection!

Last night, hubby's blood sugar was a little high, so today we played it cool. In order to regulate his carbs and sugar consumption, and also mine, I made cool aid concentrate and then served it by adding the sugar, then the solution, followed by water. It has been a very fun and tasty way to stay hydrated and still get some sweet and flavor, but in moderation.

After that scare, I am putting my foot down and drastically changing the way that we currently eat. I am going to meal planning and prepping for more intention. I am going to start making more salads with lots of veggies and protein. Less junk food for both of us, but lots of natural sweets like fruit. Snacks will be a mix of sweet, savory, and salty, but all healthy and not processed to the best of my ability. I have already laid down the ground rule that we will only be getting fast food once a paycheck, which should both help with the health of our bodies and our wallet.

I am considering this just a by product of me wanting to get in better shape and health before my bonus sister gets married in September. Spring and summer are honestly the best time to loose weight and get healthy because it's warm and sunny. People want to be outside and eat light. I'm very excited to start this new journey with the love of my life

and my husband.

But seriously, I want to have a healthier life, and only I can control that. I pray that my hubs sticks to it with me, but there's an old saying that is so true to situations like this. "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink."
